It started with my wife, Alvina.
Alvina is a nurse, and when she switched to night shifts in the ICU, I wanted to do something small to make those long nights a little easier. So before each shift, I started making her a coffee to take in with her.
I kept at it, experimenting with flavors and recipes, and my passion just kept growing. Every time friends or family came over, I'd find myself behind the counter making something for everyone. That's always been my favorite part.
One time, some friends were coming over and I'd been hyping it up all week. Before they arrived, I walked into the kitchen and found something on the fridge. Alvina, being the artist she is, had written up a menu and drawn out a logo on cardstock to surprise me. That's how Sip'd was born.
I want to bring that same energy out into the world, to the farmers market, to events, to anyone who wants a coffee made with genuine care by someone who actually loves doing this.
